THUNDER ROAD
Belly Up Tavern, 9/10/11

TR, joined by its good friends, the Pettybreakers, rocked the house at the Belly Up on Saturday, Sept. 10.  The band threw a couple of surprises at the dedicated Springsteen fans in the audience with "Sherry Darling" and "Crush on You."  Look for another surprise or two at the next show!  On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the horrific World Trade Tower event, the band brought one of Bruce's most poignant post-9/11tunes - "The Rising."  See you all down the road.

Concert for Clarence, 7/5/11

The band and Boss fans worldwide mourn the passing of "The Big Man", Clarence Clemons.  To honor this immensely talented and complex man and musician, whose persona and sound are a major force in defining the E Street Band, Thunder Road performed a benefit concert on July 5, 2011 at the Belly Up Tavern, with the proceeds donated to Clarence's favorite charity, Little Kids Rock.  The show featured guest performances from local award winning artists such as Berkley Hart, Peter Bolland, Michael Tiernan and Eve Selis.  The event proved that Springsteen music can motivate true fans on a weeknight, even after a three-day 4th of July party weekend, and brought out a lot of emotion in players and fans alike.  we'll see you all again down the road. . .

House of Blues, Hollywood, 6/11/11

Thunder Road rocked the house at the Kids Save charity event at the House of Blues on Sunset. The version of Born in the USA featured 15 year old Kids Save alum Fernando on the drum kit, and he played like a rock star! The band donated a gig for the live auction feature, which turned out to be the highest grossing auction item for this fantastic organization. If you forget about the draffic, playing at the HOB on Sunset has to be among the top experiences for the band! We look forward to a return trip!

Fiesta Del Sol, 6/4/11

The weather was excellent, the food was great, the people watching was top-notch as Thunder Road took the stage for a one hour set at Fiesta del Sol in Solana Beach on June 14. The band had a great time, and we hope to do this event again next year!

Belly Up Tavern, 5/14/11

TR fans filled the audience at the world famous Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach on Saturday, May 14 to see TR headline for a night of high energy classic rock tunes. There were a few surprises in the set, including a faithful rendition of "Trapped." Opening for Thunder Road was an amazing set from Tom Petty tribute band, The PettyBreakers. We look forward to being back at the Belly Up before too long!

Pala Casino, 3/19/11

In between peeks at the March Madness games and some winnings (and losings) at the tables and slots, a tremendous crowd filled the Grand Cabaret Room at Pala for the Thunder Road show.  We are told the room (and sound system) will be completely renovated soon, and TR looks forward to its next appearance at this fantastically fun venue.

A fantastic night was had by all at the customer-friendly pub, The Harp, in Ocean Beach.  The evening was kicked off with a solid set from Wild Nights and its tremendous singers, Taylin Rae and Jason Lewis.  Thunder Road then rocked the friendly confines of The Harp to a great crowd, until 1AM.  Thanks, Kevin, for having us, and we'll see ya soon!

Trolley Square in Santee, 7/22/10

Thunder Road made its East County debut to a fantastic crowd at the amphitheatre at Trolley Square in Santee.  Thanks to Barona and its sponsorship and a special nod to Bill Noble and his crew for their fantastic work on the sound board.  This truly proves that the appeal of the music and vibe of the Boss is universal, appealing to the young and adult crowds, with a little something for everybody.  We hope for a return engagement next year!

Anthology, 6/26/10

Josh and the boyz were thrilled to be back at Anthology for two shows on June 26.  Show goers were treated to the debut of "She's The One" and a taste of "Backstreets," which are both bound to find their way into future shows.

Belly Up Tavern, 4/16/10

It was a truly magical night at the Belly Up, with Thunder Road headlining, following a solid performance by our friends, Fleetwood Maxx.  The folks that skipped Coachella in favor of the Boss got it right!

Thunder Road at Pala Casino, 9/26/09

TR fans, old and new, were treated to a surprise at the Pala show, when they had the opportunity to see the band fronted by Josh Tanner.  Josh has the looks and the chops of an authentic 1970's version of Bruce, and he brought the goods to this one.  TR looks forward to a repeat engagement at Pala in the next few months - we'll keep ya posted.

PB Concerts on the Green, 8/16/09

A tremendous time was had by all at the TR show at PB Concerts on the Green on Sunday August 16.  The weather was perfect.  The views of Mission Bay spectacular.  And what a great group of Springsteen fans, both veterans and converts.  We saw lots of people singing along with every song.  Hope to see you all there again next summer!  Check out the photos from the show on our photos page or go to www.pbconcerts.org and view all of the photos and some video clips from the show.  Who knows, you may be in there!
